Pollution turning Taj Mahal yellow

The Taj Mahal is a mausoleum located in Agra near Delhi, India. Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan built it in the memory of his wife, Mumtaz Mahal. Taj Mahal is seventh wonder of the world but Air pollution is turning the Taj Mahal, India's famed white-marble monument of love to an unromantic yellow color. It is the parameters of air pollution which is causing the Taj to yellow. People objected to the construction of oil refineries near the Taj Mahal before because it distance is too close. The level of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxide was very high due to that and the pollution through vehicles is also increasing.
Currently, to cut back on pollution, cars and buses are not allowed to drive to the Taj Mahal and the parking lot is located about 1 ½ miles away, where visitors can take battery-run buses or horse-drawn carriages to reach the monument.
